What is Companion OS?
A way of working with AI from an owned knowledge base: your stories, decisions, voice, offers, and operating context. The companion uses that context to help you think and work, with you directing the collaboration.
How is it different from an AI chat?
AI tools may have their own memory and project features. Companion OS adds a deliberate, portable home for the context behind your work, so that understanding can be maintained and used across the tools and collaborators you choose.
Do I have to use your character or visual style?
No. The illustrated helpers belong to Duane’s own world. Your companion should fit your own voice, values, and way of working.
Do I own the knowledge base?
The install is designed around a knowledge base you control. The storage, access permissions, model connections, and export approach are agreed as part of your setup. AI tools remain subject to their own terms.
Does it run my business for me?
You remain responsible for decisions, permissions, and approval. Any connected actions are scoped to your setup. Important outputs need human review, and the underlying knowledge needs upkeep.
